Company Introduction Punjab Sugar Mills Ltd

Punjab Sugar Mills was incorporated as a public limited company in 1986. The mills is located at 84/15-L, Tehsil Mian Channu, District Khanewal. and is spread over 85 Acres of land housing plant and machinery installations, residential colony and Cane Research Farm.

The plant and machinery (local component) was purchased from M/s. Ittefaq Foundries Ltd. and the foreign component was imported from M/s. Fletcher & Smith, U.K. The initial production capacity of the mills was 2000 TCD which has been eventually extended over to 4000 TCD by constant BMR through company’s own cash generation.

Our main area of business is refined, white, crystalline sugar and sugar by-products. The company is also ISO 9002 certified and has about 1000 personnel.

We strong believe in integrity in business and integrity of Punjab Sugar depends on the integrity of each one of its employees Therefore, we constantly train our staff and keep them highly motivated as they are our most valuable asset. Consequently, staff at our mills is committed to achieve the best possible standards of company products.

During the crushing season 1994-95, we achieved the highest recovery percentage in the sugar industry. In 1997-98 and 1998-99 our mills exported sugar to other countries and the product was highly credited by importers for its distinguished quality.

in addition to employees, we consider the farmers who are our raw material suppliers as the most important part of our business. To keep them motivated and attached to our industrial unit, we provide incentive in the shape of fertilizer, pesticide and seed for cultivation of better varieties of sugarcane. We consider research and development as backbone of our business and conduct extensive agricultural research for developing better varieties of sugarcane at our farm.
